My Father, and My Mother Taught Me...

My father taught me No Thing

He just taught me to Follow my Guts

My mother taught me to Believe Her

She just taught me to Follow Her

As I grew up, she let me Follow my Guts

Now, whenever I am lost in the Journey of my Life

I Follow my Guts

  1. Dear PITCHER OF YOUR GUTS! I think you were lucky to have parents who taught you trust yourself! What a great mom you have! She knew when to let you GO! And now you can wander the world with confidence--because you know that you can ask yourself what you need next! Do THAT!

  2. After reading your post and a couple of others in other blogs about the same topic, you and everyone else taught me how important it is for parents to teach their children how to "follow their guts". I suppose it's a universal way of parenting, but it really shows how simple and basic parenting can be in such things. I really respect your parents as well as all the parents that allow their children to explore themselves and push against their limits.
